In a dental practice a medical emergency is rare, but when it happens everything is decided in the first few minutes: recognising the warning signs, knowing what to do and working in step with the dentist make the difference to patient safety. Taught by Dr. Andrea Guida, the course prepares dental assistants (ASO) to handle the critical situations that can arise at the dental chair with a clear method: from prevention, starting from an accurate medical history and attention to at-risk patients, to the prompt recognition of alarm symptoms, through to the first measures to be taken together with the dentist while waiting for the emergency services. It is followed entirely online, on the AMI platform and at your own pace, and it is valid for the mandatory ASO update: a certificate is issued on completion.
