The course
From planning to the screen to live surgery.
The Digital Workflow is one of the two Level 5 · DIAMOND courses. Over two days, it takes participants from the software to the operating theatre: the first day consists of theory and practical work on stereolithographic models, whilst the second involves live surgery on a real-life case, previously planned by the participant and supervised by the lecturers.
Enrolment is open to those who have completed the three Level 4 · EXPERT specialities.
The two DIAMOND courses run in parallel and, once both have been completed following the three EXPERT courses, grant access to the DIAMOND certification. When purchased together, they cost €4,500 (DIAMOND COMPLETION) instead of €5,000: this rate applies only to the immediate purchase of the entire level; those who enrol in one course at a time pay €2,500 per course. The package must be requested from the administration office and covers one enrolment for each course in the level: a certificate of attendance is issued for each course, and a level certificate upon completion of the level. Course and package fees are quoted inclusive of a receipt and exclusive of VAT.

- Pre-surgical briefing on the planned case
- Step-by-step description of surgery on a patient
- Immediate prosthetic phase, where applicable, and concluding discussion

Why this course
The workflow, not the individual software — Data acquisition, planning, guide criteria: you’ll learn the logic of the digital workflow, which remains consistent even when switching programmes.
The guide has its limitations, and these are acknowledged — Static guided surgery is powerful where it is indicated. The course also explains where it is not.
The case is yours — The second day’s surgery is carried out on a real case previously planned by the course participant: the planning is verified on the patient, not on an exercise.
The model before the operating theatre — The guided sequence is independently reproduced on a stereolithographic model before entering the operating theatre.

Assessment and certification
The assessment is practical: on a model on the first day, in the operating theatre on the second, and concludes with a case discussion.
Upon completion, AMI issues the Digital Flow professional development course certificate, valid for Level 5 · DIAMOND. Once both DIAMOND courses have been completed, following the three EXPERT specialities, DIAMOND certification is awarded.
